no words.
Throughout this entire campaign season, I think what moved me most were the pictures. From supporters, detractors, babies, puppies, and the man himself. Here's a (rough) visual timeline.
obama accepts the democratic nomination in august:
newyorker-gate.
babies heart him.
the opposition.
hope on a tight rope.
goddamn it's a lot of pressure.
grandma toot dies one day before her grandson becomes the nation's first black president.
he wins! the left reacts.
(mlk jr's sister, by the way)
the right reacts.
the world reacts.

My favorite images/videos from this night was the global ones. It's truly amazing to see people all over the world excited about him. And what's up with the ears on Obama in Japan?
Isn't it amazing how the whole world has responded? Everyone is touched by the fact that he won, and people of color the world over are inspired by the fact that he has broken this barrier.

He'll salve the ugly racial wound left by America’s history and lessen the tendency of American blacks to blame all their problems on racism.
Yay! Equality for all minorities.
