I dislike Sarah Palin so much for what she represents. She has a very likely chance of being our first female Vice President and it's because of pure tokenism rather than her beliefs or qualifications. Even worse, she seems fine with that. What did we learn about her from her speech on Wednesday? Anything substantive? She spent most of her time attacking the Democrats and it's no surprise that hers was a generic speech written for an any-man (tailored for her once she entered the race). Because that's what she is: a place holder.

After all those years women fought desperately for social progress, we wind up with a girl whose biggest virtue is her vagina and who sees no problem with the status quo.
