happiness is a pretty dress.
I discovered Portland-based designer SarahSeven a few months ago (via Lookbook, I believe), and I've been stalking her etsy shop ever since. She has a knack for making perfectly tailored, pretty, wispy dresses. I never think about weddings, but I'd love that robin's egg blue dress for any bridesmaids I might have. With the glasses, OBVI.
what say you?
I love Frances May, a Portland boutique that recently launched an online shop. I also love eco-friendly label Mociun. I can't tell if I love this skirt. What do you all think?
Ambivalence aside, I LOVE this bathing suit (also by Mociun, but available at Beklina).

can't see the forest for the trees.
I move to my new apartment in less than a week and I'm starting to get excited. But, um, I barely have furniture. Instead I have lots of wall art. So what do I do? I buy $100 worth of FRAMES. Um, a couch and a rug should have maybe come first.
Psst, this is the couch I'm getting. I will change the legs from little stumps to pretty ones. It is also not so dark in person. I sat on it today and it is comfy and pretty and classic and durable! Yay!

apartment color scheme.
This is pretty much my dream living room/apartment/everything-in-life color scheme. It's even my TUMBLR color scheme (and, did you notice, my blog's as well? I had both before I found this image...it's fate!).

springgg!
It doesn't feel like spring yet in Virginia (well, it did on one day last week), but all I can think about is eschewing pants and boots for dresses and sandals. I can't really shop anymore, since I'm unemployed and about to move to a new apartment (I'm buying a couch!), but here's what I WOULD buy if someone handed me a suitcase full of money:
Horace Biker Jacket (available at Oak)
Linus Jumper (available at Oak)
Alexander Wang Chartreuse Tank (available at Oak)
Printed Camisole by Linus
Sculptural Skirt by Linus
Preen "Power Dress" (aka the most amazing thing ever -- available at La Garconne)
Steven Alan Apron dress (available at Urban Outfitters)
Strapless Denim Dress (available at Urban Outfitters)
Pocket Tank (available at Urban Outfitters)
Prince shoe in black by Marais (available in May)

ew, REALLY?
(via WhoWhatWear)
(via Refinery29's Pipeline)
I knew strong shoulders were "in", but I hate them. Maybe it's because I have broad shoulders and a narrow waist, but I feel downright mannish with that kind of 80s power suit silhouette. At least I'm perpetually stylish! (This season, at least.)
